Ground floor glazed extensions to enlarge second reception. First and second floor rear closet wing extensions forming bedroom and study. Design, supply and installation of fitted furniture including Bookcases and Kitchen. The subject property is a terraced house located within Alma Terrace that fronts Allen Street. Alma Terrace was built in response to Inkerman Terrace on the north side of Allen Street where more than half of the homes are Grade 2 buildings.
The Client had ambitious plans for extension of this property which is located at the heart of Scarsdale Conservation area.
Having received the Client brief, Cranbrook produced a series of schematic layouts indicating a single level basement and above ground extensions. These initial Cranbrook designs formed the basis for a subsequent Planning application which received local authority approval. Complex Party Wall negotiations were managed by the Cranbrook team allowing works to commence on site.
The basement area extended below the house and the rear garden. As part of the works a two storey brick built rear extension was added.
Internal alterations included the replacement of all services closely followed by the installation of new bathrooms, total replastering and installation of fitted furniture.
This project was carried out on a turnkey basis with all design and construction work being undertaken by Cranbrook.
